Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings - Colorado Springs: Reviews & Ratings
Literally the best restaurant I have had in a long time! We sat at the bar top and the bartender ( I didn't get her name) but she was very pretty and petite with long dark hair. Her service was so good and I could tell she was a girls girl! She would acknowledge me before my man and that never happens so I ate it up! And she made such yummy drinks! Honestly she deserves a raise! Plus the food, chefs kiss and dim sum was fire so my man about to get him sum
We were quoted a 45-minute wait but told it might not be as long. We said we would sit in the first available spot and were seated within about 10 minutes at the bar. The food was all fantastic. The bao was possibly the best I've ever had, the lo mein was up there as well, and everything was super fresh and flavorful. The decor was eye-catching, and the atmosphere was great. Dishes were served as they were ready, and they started coming out without us waiting very long at all. We will definitely be back, as I'm still thinking about when I can get more bao.
First time walking into Nana's Dumplings and I loved the vibe. Modern and contemporary with thoughtful touches that celebrate Chinese culture. The food was great and flavors pretty well balanced. The dim sum were served hot, and the fried rice had great rice seperation with subtle "wok hei". My only small comment is that the lighting is a bit dim, making the menu a little hard to read. Otherwise, a fantastic experience!
We had a wonderful experience at Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings. We were super excited to try this place as it just came to Colorado Springs. Highly recommend getting there early, as it’s popular and we had to wait. We tried a lot of dishes, and our favorites were the thumblings, soup dumplings, and shrimp dumplings! We over ordered and ended up taking the chicken lo mein and shrimp fried rice to go, and both of those were excellent! Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was cool. We will definitely be returning soon!
This was my first time trying soup dumplings and they were so delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I will 100% go back! We got spring rolls, two different soup dumplings, and chicken udon noodles. 10/10 would recommend. The server was friendly. She immediately asked if we had any food allergies. I appreciate how attentive they are about that. After our meal the manager came and asked us how our experience was. That's great customer service! Go check this place out, you won't be disappointed.
Finally, we had the chance to try this place, from appetizers to dessert. It did not disappoint, although we have our favorite dishes among what we ordered. The dining atmosphere is quite unique with its decorations. Starting from the entrance, you can see the chefs preparing dumplings on the spot. The dining room is quite beautiful, with good lighting, decorations, and spacious seating. Our favorite dishes are the stir-fried string beans, crispy shrimp, chili wontons, and pan-fried pork buns. Their takeout bag is quite good, it’s an insulated bag that helps keep your leftovers fresh. If you've never tried dim sum before, this place comes highly recommended. While it can’t be directly compared to other dim sum spots in Denver, they offer a unique menu that’s simply delicious!
Delicious! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had a healthy wait to get in but it was so worth it. Our server did a wonderful job of checking on us. Our food came out quickly and was fresh. The crab Rangoon were the best we’ve had and so was the fried rice. We ordered beef and celery dumplings and got them prepare fried. They were also amazing! Beautiful interior and we loved the fresh air coming in from the patio area. An overall wonderful experience. We can’t wait to go back!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ We finally tried Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings and overall had a positive experience! Favorites: • The Firecrackers were the absolute standout – jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and crab, wrapped in a perfectly crunchy coating. 10/10, I’d come back just for these! • The Crab Cheese Rangoons were generously filled and the dipping sauce paired perfectly. Another 10/10. • The House Sake was smooth and delicious. Other dishes: • Bok Choy Bao Buns: soft and flavorful – 8/10. • Shrimp Dumplings: solid but could’ve used a little more punch – 7/10. • Red Bean Bao (dessert): 7/10, tasty but would’ve been better with more filling. Downsides: • They were out of quite a few menu items we wanted to try, so we had to go with second choices. • The menu setup was a bit confusing since there aren’t descriptions, which makes ordering harder if you’re not already familiar. • While it’s served family style, portions are small (only 3 bao per tray). For a large family, it wouldn’t be very cost-efficient since you’d need to order multiple trays of each item just to share. The vibe inside was great, the food we did get was good, and despite the hiccups, we left satisfied. I’d go again—especially for those Firecrackers!
